Revy “Two Hands” wielding her custom M9 Sword Cutlass is one of the first examples I witnessed when I began watching Anime. This scene is a great throwback to the John Woo era of action movies where guns akimbo was a popular trope.

Have you ever had a chance to dual wield pistols?

In my experience, using two pistols that are the same make and model will give you the best results. Your body will intuitively feel more comfortable as you pull triggers that feel the same as each other, and your grip and point of aim being similar in both hands will allow you to increase the effectiveness of your bullet spray. Will you hit your target? Maybe. In reality, it is more of a suppressing fire technique. While you may not get headshots on the fly while sliding down a staircase banister, you might get your opponent to duck down as you unleash a lead hurricane in their direction as you make your move to the next cover area.

I would recommend trying out Beretta m9’s for the challenge if you’re thinking of doing this. They are relatively inexpensive, extremely stylish, and they were the preferred choice of akimbo pistols for John Woo movies.
