Crocs Are Tactical

Admittedly , they are goofy, but practical beyond means.

My size 11 pair in the “latte” or “FDE” colorway if you are trying to be that guy weigh about 14 ounces when together. I can easily attach a carabiner on them and affix them to my hunting pack or simply through them in a bag. They are completely water resistant since they are 100% rubber, protect your toes when crossing rivers and save your boots from getting wet. Sprinting in them while they have the ankle strap down or “four wheel drive” might not offer the best stability but they will at least stay on your feet. Put the ankle strap up and they become perfect camp slippers. Wear them around town and you look like a casual. Lose them? Amazon prime the same pair to your hotel room or pick up a pair of off brands at the corner store. Even the CROC branded ones go for about only 50 bucks.

If I am out hiking or hunting I will always have Crocs on my backpack or at the very least in my truck to change out of. Although they don’t have the hard Vibram soles and quick lace up features like a Keen has, they are a fraction of the weight and the price. A good secondary to your boots. A necessary piece of kit.

One thing to note; I left my crocs in the back of my truck bed after one day fishing on the river, I forget for how long, but they shrunk. Not detrimentally, definitely still wearable, but the small hinge that connects the ankle strap to the shoe started to dig in. I decided to retire them to a friend with smaller feet and get myself a new pair. I sized up and they fit perfectly with no hot spots.
